At what stage was the “Circle VP” for “Viewed Proved” stamp placed on the underside on the barrel–adhering to the large load testing, the “VP” remaining used following the Visible inspection with the barrel? The “VP” is located on each and every 1892 and 1894 barrel I've viewed from the start to the top of production, bridging the date for the looks on the “WP”. Then why the addition from the “WP”—I acknowledge I am no history buff, just curious concerning the reasoning to the “WP”.
